Local Services Futures Wiki

Eight prospects for the future of local services
Eight prospects for the future of local services
Backed by the Local Government Association and DIUS' Horizon Scanning Centre, this is a collaborative space to share knowledge, ideas, trends and innovations that may shape the future of local services to the public over the next 10-15 years.

By conducting collective "horizon scanning" in this way, we hope people across the Local Government family will find it easier and more beneficial to share what they know.

You can go looking for useful information on the wiki straight away, but to edit or contribute you need to have a login account. Please contact Louise Dove (Louise.Dove@lga.gov.uk) at the LGA who can provide this for you.

This wiki is the product of an initial futures project conducted in 2008 for LGA/HSC by the Outsights/Ipsos MORI Partnership.  It is therefore just a starting point and will always be a work in progress, so don't be surprised to find many areas in need of development. Any contribution is welcome (however short!), and as it grows, others with an interest in the topics here will cumulatively add to the body of knowledge.

To start searching simply click on a topic area below or type a search term in the search bar in the left margin.

Click here for instructions on how to use the wiki. And please consult our suggestions on style before you edit or contribute content. Contact Louise if you have any problems. If you're interested in developing wikis in your own organisation contact Julian Thompson at Ipsos MORI Horizons. Happy scanning!
